📍 Neemrana, Rajasthan | Completed February 2024
When Mr. Prakash Bhatt first contacted FGPS Solar in late 2023, his logistics warehouse in Neemrana Industrial Corridor was running electricity bills north of ₹6.2 lakh every month. The facility operates three shifts, powering heavy conveyor systems, cold-storage units, industrial lighting across 48,000 sq ft of floor space, and two freight elevators. Peak-hour surcharges from the state grid were compounding costs during summer months when cooling loads doubled.
The warehouse roof presented its own engineering challenges: multiple HVAC exhaust units, fragile pre-engineered building (PEB) panels rated at just 15 kg/m² live load, and a sawtooth profile that demanded precise tilt calculations to avoid panel-on-panel shading. Any interruption to warehouse operations during installation was commercially unacceptable.
Our team conducted a full shade analysis using PVsyst simulation software across all roof bays and specified lightweight mounting frames with clamp-based, ballast-free fixing to stay within the PEB load envelope. We designed the 350 kW system across four roof sections with string inverters optimised for the sawtooth geometry, ensuring each string faced the same azimuth angle to prevent mismatch losses.
Installation was phased across two bays at a time, running during night shifts and weekends to eliminate any disruption to warehouse throughput. The full system went live in February 2024 — nine weeks from contract signing to commissioning, including DISCOM net-metering approval.

Comparing 12-month average bills before and after commissioning, inclusive of grid import charges, fixed demand charges, and wheeling fees.
The system generates approximately 1,440 units on a peak summer day, meeting nearly 80% of the warehouse's daytime load directly from solar. Surplus generation in the morning and evening hours feeds back to the state grid under net-metering, credited against night-time grid import.
The ₹47.3 lakh annual saving puts the project on a 3.2-year simple payback — significantly faster than the national industrial benchmark of 4–5 years — because Neemrana's industrial tariff is ₹9.02/kWh, one of the highest in Rajasthan. By consuming solar during peak hours, the warehouse also avoids demand-charge penalties that previously added ₹60,000–80,000 per month during summer.
Over the 25-year panel life, cumulative savings (discounted at 8% WACC) exceed ₹4.8 crore — a return that substantially outperforms fixed deposits and makes solar the facility's best capital allocation decision of the decade.
FGPS Solar delivered everything they promised and then some. My bill dropped from ₹6.2 lakh to ₹2.3 lakh within the first month of going live. What impressed me most was how seamlessly they managed the installation around our warehouse operations — not a single shipment was delayed. The monitoring dashboard is excellent; I can see live generation on my phone. I've already referred two other warehouse owners in the Neemrana corridor to them.
